When: Thu, 27.10.2022 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM
After last year's successful webinar series on Mental Health & Well-being topics, we want to continue this series and offer a new webinar series for you!
Together with Desiree Dickerson we created a super exciting series of three webinars that will run on September, 28, October, 27, and November, 28.
These webinars are targeted for all status groups. Please do not hesitate and register today!
All webinars will start with a 45-minute formal presentation with slides followed by a 15-minute Q&A session. There will be a handout / summary sheet for distribution after each webinar.
This webinar will focus on the topic of Motivation & Procrastination. Procrastination is a way of easing our own discomfort. Discomfort because the task is too hard, too boring, too big, too scary. The difficulty with procrastinating is that it makes you feel better for a moment but it does nothing to fix the reason the task feels uncomfortable to begin with. It is still too big, too hard, too scary, or too boring the next time you sit down to do it. And so the cycle repeats.
In this webinar we discuss ways to:
- identify these procrastination loops when they start to unfold.
- identify some of the thoughts underlying the discomfort and reframe them.
- employ alternative strategies that can alleviate the discomfort and make the task less difficult, scary, hard or boring.
- explore drivers of our motivation.
