Promoting early career researchers
The early-career program of CLICCS is embedded in the international CEN School of Integrated Climate and Earth System Sciences (SICSS). Founded in 2008 within the previous Cluster of Excellence CliSAP, SICSS offers excellent education and career support through its international and interdisciplinary Doctoral Program and its tailor-made Postdoc Program.

Wladimir Peter Köppen Award
CLICCS nominates excellent doctoral theses in climate and earth system research for the Wladimir Köppen Award. The award is worth €5,000 and targets excellent doctoral dissertations with a focus on climate research.

Job offers
The Cluster of Excellence CLICCS invites applications for research associate positions at Universität Hamburg and its partner institutions. Within the course of 2019, 18 Postdoc positions and 30 PhD positions have been filled.
