Wladimir Köppen Award

Each year, CLICCS honours outstanding doctoral theses in climate and Earth system research with the prestigious Wladimir-Köppen Award. Open to researchers from all disciplines across German-speaking areas, the €5,000 prize recognizes exceptional dissertations focused on climate research. Since 2009 the award celebrates new insights shaping our understanding of the climate system.
