Workshop: Diversity in Excellence

In June, the Universität Hamburg dedicates one week to education and discussion all around the topic of Diversity. From the 10^th to 14^th of June, the Diversity-Days 2024 take place with 40 different workshops and talks on various topics relating to diversity.

Among them, the Clusters of Excellence of Universität Hamburg offer the workshop “Reframing Excellence – For more Diversity in Academia”. Workshop-speaker Prof. Dr. Zen Faulkes raises the questions: How sustainable is the current definition of academic excellence in a diverse world? What even makes a researcher ‘excellent’? Or is it time to redefine excellence in the future?
