Research Data Management
13 April 2023, from 15:15 – 16:45, in the Bundesstraße 53, Room 22/23.
An online participation will be possible as well. Afterwards, we will offer a get-together to further exchange with you.
Research Data Management might not sound like a sexy topic to some of us. However, it is an extremely important topic, and we will all have to deal with it in the next months and years. Therefore, we thought that a Convent is an appropriate event to make you all familiar with it!
Knowing what data is used in CLICCS and where is it documented, fosters collaboration among CLICCS projects and with a wider scientific community. In order to make our research sustainable, the publication of data is essential and should adhere to uniform standards. Therefore, research data management is not only an obligatory DFG guideline, but it also ensures the traceability and connectivity of CLICCS research as well as the reusability of CLICCS data.
To meet all these requirements, we needed to develop a guideline that is binding for all CLICCS members. The CLICCS working group on research data management (Felix Ament, Martina Bachmann, Andrea Lammert, Achim Oberg, Stephan Olbrich, Stefan Thiemann) will show which opportunities arise from research data management. Furthermore, they will introduce the guidelines, including an explanation of the expectations for all project teams but also of the support which will be offered to fulfill these expectations.
